Heian Nidan

Step Movement/Stance Technique
1 Ready position
2 Turn left 90°, and step forward left back stance Left upper level inside block. Simultaneous right upper level rising block. Arms form a rectangle with 90° angles.
3 Remain in place Left upper sweeping block, simultaneous right bottom-fist strike (to elbow of attacking arm).
4 Remain in place Middle level punch to left side with left fist.
5 Turn right 180°, right back stance (leave feet in place, pivot on heels of both feet) Right upper level inside block. Simultaneous left upper level rising block. Arms form a rectangle with 90° angles.
6 Remain in place Right upper sweeping block, simultaneous left bottom-fist strike (to elbow of attacking arm).
7 Remain in place Middle level punch to right side with right fist.
8 Bring left foot directly under hips, pivot right 90° Bring left fist back into draw-hand by hip, bring right fist to rest on top of left fist. Simultaneously execute a upper level horizontal right back-fist strike with a right leg side snap kick.
9 Step down with right and pivot left 180°, left back stance Left middle knife-hand block.
10 Step forward right back stance Right middle knife-hand block.
11 Step forward left back stance Left middle knife-hand block.
12 Step forward right front stance Left middle pressing block, simultaneous right middle spear hand thrust, KIAI.
13 Turn left 270°, pivoting on the right foot, right back stance Left middle knife-hand block.

Step forward 45° to the right, right back stance Right middle knife-hand block.
15 Turn right 135°, pivoting on the left foot, right back stance Right middle knife-hand block.
16 Step forward 45° to the left, left back stance Left middle knife-hand block.
17 Turn left 45°, pivoting on the right foot, left front stance Right middle inside block.
18 Left foot in place Right middle back leg front snap-kick.
19 Step down into right front stance Left middle reverse punch.
20 Pull right foot back half way Left middle inside block.
21 Right foot in place Left middle back leg front snap-kick.
22 Step down into left front stance Right middle reverse punch.
23 Step forward right front stance Right middle augmented forearm block.
24 Turn left 270°, pivoting on the right foot, left front stance Left downward block.
25 Step forward 45° to the right, right front stance Right rising block.
26 Turn right 135°, pivoting on the left foot, right front stance Right downward block.
27 Step forward 45° to the left, left front stance Left rising block, KIAI.
